AVA-X at Passenger Terminal Expo in Madrid with FAAC

We recently wrapped up our participation at the Passenger Terminal Expo in Madrid, and hence we wanted to share some insights.

The Passenger Terminal Expo is one of the world's leading events for airport equipment, technology, design, and services. This year, we joined forces with our partner FAAC - a global leader in access automation - to showcase how our technologies work together to transform airport operations.

What We Demonstrated

At our joint booth, visitors could see live demonstrations of:

• Sentinel ACCESS: Our facial recognition-based access control system, integrated with FAAC's automated gates. The combination allows for seamless, contactless passenger flow - no boarding passes, no ID checks, just a quick face scan and you're through.
• Sentinel LIVE: Our real-time surveillance platform, showing how airports can monitor passenger movement, detect anomalies, and respond to incidents in real time.
• SmartFlow: Our predictive passenger flow management system, demonstrating how airports can anticipate congestion and optimise operations proactively.

Key Conversations

The expo gave us the opportunity to connect with airport operators, system integrators, and technology leaders from around the world. Some recurring themes:

• Post-Pandemic Priorities: Airports are focused on rebuilding passenger confidence while improving operational efficiency. Contactless technology and real-time monitoring are top of mind.
• Sustainability: There's growing interest in how technology can reduce energy consumption and improve resource utilisation - areas where predictive systems like SmartFlow can make a real difference.
• Integration: Airports want solutions that work with their existing infrastructure, not rip-and-replace systems. Our modular approach resonated strongly.
